The Best Vegetarian & Vegan Destinations for Travellers

1 Jan 2019Such a great post. I’m not vegetarian but I do like to eat meatless quite a bit and this gave me some great inspiration for new places to visit.

2 Jan 2019Although I follow a pescetarian diet (and eat fish, dairy, and eggs), this is a very comprehensive list to avoid mammalian meats around the world!

3 Jan 2019Love this list and the fact that there are so many great vegetarian and vegan cities around the world, including a few that I wasn’t expecting! I’m most excited to eat in Israel, I’ve heard a lot about it as a top vegetarian/vegan destination recently, and this post confirms the fact that most food there just naturally avoids meat and animal products.

7 Jan 2019In Peru there are around 50 vegan restaurants and hundreds of vegetarian ones, so don’t be afraid to visit!
Here in Arequipa we do a killer vegan ceviche with hava beans, artichoke, mushrooms and more! But that’s just a side, our main focus is orgasmic vegan sushi!

8 Jan 2019Becki. Thanks for the great suggestions. I do a meatless Monday all year round and it is great to have tips in a multitude of countries. We visited Vietnam and it was easy to easy vegetarian there. Heading to Costa Rica on Wednesday and I will be all over the Rice and beans. I do have the added issue that I eat gluten free and can’t eat peppers, which makes some countries and cuisines challenging, but there are some really great suggestions here. Thanks for the great read.

12 Jan 2019This is super helpful and encouraging. I’m definitely a vegetarian at home but (reluctantly) flexible when I travel. I’m moving to Vietnam on Jan. 23, so I’m really excited to see it on your list!
