Peru Travel Planning
Peru was one of the first countries I travelled solo around. Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu had been on my bucket list for as long as I could remember along with seeing the Nazca Lines and the Amazon Rainforest – all of them were nothing short of amazing.
Peru has a mix of incredible landscapes, epic history and phenomenal wildlife spotting opportunities.
It’s a huge country so this is definitely a destination suited to slow travel. You could, of course, do it at a quicker pace and fly between the main attractions, but there’s so much to see here that it seems a shame to rush it.
My first trip here lasted two months, and even that felt rushed. Peru is still one of the most epic trips I have done, and hoping to go back again soon to explore more.
