Thailand is one of my favourite countries in Asia and one I keep going back to again and again.

Known as the Land of Smiles, Thailand has been a firm favourite of backpackers for decades – it was one of the first countries I visited solo because the infrastructure here for solo travellers is so well established.

The people are friendly, the food is outstanding and as someone who’s a huge fan of temples and culture, there’s an abundance of stuff to see in Thailand.

Twin that with tropical beaches and lush jungles, it’s easy to see how Thailand is a bucket list destination for many people.
